14-15 June 2012, Bangkok, Thailand - "Informal Dialogue between the ASEAN Secretary General and Representatives of Civil Society Organisations"

On the initiative of the ASEAN Secretary General, the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), Office for Regional Cooperation in Asia and the Peoples Empowerment Foundation (PEF), in partnership with the Human Rights Working Group (HRWG), will conduct an Informal Dialogue between the ASEAN Secretary General, ASEAN Secretariat officials and representatives of Civil Society Organisations. The Informal Dialogue aims to encourage a process that will aid in developing a fruitful and cooperative relationship between the two groups. It is envisioned that by sharing operational processes and thematic work areas on both sides, an increased common understanding and trust will be reached. This event is seen to be the starting point for a more productive and cooperative relationship.
