Cambodia

The Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) has started its engagement in Cambodia since 1994. Fron the beginning until 2011 it has been carried out activities which aimed at contributing to the promotion of Cambodia’s regional integration as well as the capacity building of relevant stakeholders and decision makers from the public sector, politics, academia, trade unions and civil society. Particularly, FES supported informed and constructive debates about national and foreign affairs among Cambodia’s young emerging leaders as well as established decision-makers with the aim of generating proposals to solve complex problems. In addition, it also promoted social dialogue on industrial development between public and private players, and educational trainings for trade unionists.

The FES does not have a country office in Cambodia. The cooperation is coordinated by the FES Office for Regional Cooperation in Asia based in Singapore.
